18. Hirst Cottage

94 Pendarves Street, New Plymouth

Hirst Cottage

This inner-city garden adopts linear principles and is themed ‘green and white with a touch of red’. It features white petunia, white lilies and black velvet pelargonium, with the ambience of courtyards, gazebo and buxus hedging. This 1865 property holds a Heritage A listing and stands alongside the historical cluster known as Hen and Chickens. The protected oaks, ginkgo and Pohutukawa add to the unique story.
