Nau mai haere mai

Welcome to Taranaki for a 10-day celebration of the best we have to offer this spring – gardens, art and events.

Firstly, want to assure you all that at Alert Level 2, the festival can go ahead with the current restrictions!

Now for the good stuff, this year's official festival booklet is jam-packed with maps, activities, glorious gardens, bountiful backyards and astonishing artists.

TAFT, turning 30 this year, presents the garden festival with heart-felt thanks to our partners, sponsors and supporters. We couldn’t do it without you. Our treasured gardeners are looking forward to the 34th festival just as much as you—our visitors. All around Taranaki Maunga, garden owners enjoy the conversations, the connections and the joy of sharing their lovingly tended properties with you, our welcome guests.

New visitors and long-time festival fans will be wowed by the variety on offer. Country, cottage, sub-tropical, sustainable, vegetable, native, formal… there is something for everyone in the programme.

Make sure that you pre-purchase your garden festival tickets this year, giving our gardeners more time to walk and talk with visitors during the festival. Tickets are available from official ticket outlets online by clicking the Buy Tickets or from the TAFT office.

Nau mai, haere mai, see you in the gardens!
