Work by three acclaimed New Zealand artists will provide an extra creative focus for visitors to the Goodin Country Garden this year. Set among volcanic rocks and mature trees, the garden features lush plantings and lawns perfect for a picnic, Devonshire Tea – or displaying artworks. Elam graduates Karl Maughan, Jeff Thomson and Erica Soman reunite to share their works and will spend the first weekend of the festival in residence.
Maughan’s colourful garden paintings, Thomson’s quirky corrugated iron sculptures and Soman’s intricate botanical graphite drawings will all be for sale.
