with author Helen Lehndorf – Mitre 10 Garden Speaker Series
Foraging advocate Helen Lehndorf can even make “weeds” sound enticing. The author of ‘A Forager’s Life’ will show you the bounty in your own backyard and out there, on the margins. She will take you on a foraging foray and share snippets of her latest book, which is teeming with tales and recipes for teas, tonics and tinctures. The Manawatū writer and teacher, who grew up in Taranaki, is passionate about land-connection, food localisation and resilience skills. Helen blogs about these, shares poetry in her first book, ‘The Comforter’ and her dedication to journalling in ‘Write to the Centre’. Join us to learn about the extra goodness in your gardens.
