W.R Philips Volkswagen Taranaki is a fourth generation family owned business. It has been on the same site on Devon Street since its opening in 1946, across the road from the original clocktower.
Since then, the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery/Len Lye Centre has opened next door and the Clock Tower has been demolished and rebuilt. The spot is also walking distance from the CBD, the Coastal Walkway and an abundance of cafés and restaurants.
